September Meeting Reminder
Don’t forget about our September meeting! We have the honor of being hosted by David and June Nguy at their home in Chino. Meeting begins at 6:00PM, but take the opportunity to come early and explore the grounds and amazing, extensive bonsai collection. Continue reading
September Meeting Update
There has been a change of plan for our September club meeting. The meeting will not be held at the home of Steve and Judy Anthony as planned. Instead, David and June Nguy have offered to host us at their home in Chino. Ted Matson will still be our demonstrator for the evening as previously announced. We will cover all the rest of the details in the September newsletter. Thanks.
Santa Anita Bonsai Society’s 53rd Annual Memorial Day Weekend Bonsai Show
The Santa Anita Bonsai Society’s 53rd annual Memorial Day weekend show is this month. Show will be held at the LA County Arboretum May 27-29 2017. The show will run from 9:00AM till 4:30PM daily. Bonsai demonstrations will be giving each day at 1:00PM. There will also be bonsai trees and supplies on sale at the show. Continue reading
Viet Bonsai Today Society’s 1st Show
Viet Bonsai Today Society will have their first bonsai show the weekend of September 17th and 18th at the Bao Quang Temple in Santa Ana. The show will be held both days from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Continue reading
2016 SABS Bonsai Show Winners
Please join me in congratulating this years Santa Anita Bonsai Society Annual Bonsai Show award winners. The display judged “Best Theme Tree” belonged to June Nguy for her California juniper in the bunjin style. 2016 Santa Anita Bonsai Society Annual Show
This year will be our 52nd Annual Bonsai Show! Our show will be Memorial Day weekend, May 28, 29, and 30 at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden. The show will be held Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 9:00AM to 4:30PM daily. Demonstrations will begin each day at 1:00PM. There will also be bonsai trees, pots, tools, and related items for sale. Bonsai Estate Sale
Judy Davis will be holding an estate sale for the bonsai possesions of Kay and Khan Komai. This sale will be on Friday 5/23/2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 5033 Baldwin Ave., Temple City, CA 91780. The bonsai portion will be a private sale to the bonsai community. The general public will be invited on 5/24/2014. There will be hundreds of items for sale. Don’t mis out.
2014 Santa Anita Bonsai Society Annual Show Form
Our annual show will be Memorial Day weekend, May 24, 25, and 26. We will do set-up on Friday at 1:00pm at Ayres Hall. The more people we have for set-up, the faster it goes. Bring your show tree and display with you, and you will be able to pick your spot after set-up. Continue reading
