This Aug 8 meeting will NOT be at the LA Arboretum due to a summer concert the same night.
Our August 8 meeting will start at 6:00pm at David & June’s Shisei-En Garden in Chino.
This is our second and final road trip away from the Arboretum.
Those attending will be surrounded by David’s magnificent bonsai collection and a beautiful Japanese teahouse beckoning you to enter.
You will also see David and June’s massive nursery of bonsai material, pots & supplies.
The evening club meeting, beginning at 6p, will consist of David demonstrating his styling techniques on an Itoigawa Juniper that will go in our raffle.
The 6pm meeting will be preceded from 3pm – 5:30pm by an Itoigawa Juniper Workshop exclusively for six of our members who will receive individual guidance by David to style their trees.
Visitors are welcome to observe the workshop but should not interrupt the class with questions or comments.
Questions will be welcome during the evening demonstration.
Everyone is also invited to come early to stroll thru the Garden.

July Highlights: A Demo by Peter Macasieb
We had a huge turnout for the July meeting with Peter Macasieb.
Peter worked on both a Black Pine tree and a Ficus tree for his demonstration.
The Pine was later won in the raffle by Roger, and the Ficus was won by Gi.
In addition, Ren donated three trees to the raffle, ready to be styled.
His olive was won by Gary, his boxwood was won by Isidro, and his juniper was won by Gonzalo.
We had a special raffle drawing for two more Kathy Boehme pots, and Gabriel and Eric were the lucky winners.
Thanks to all the members who contributed to our very full raffle table.
It is what helps sustain the club.
Also, thank you to those who brought a variety of great food for the refreshment table.
Our members make our meetings as enjoyable as they are.
