Demo: Marcus Juniel- jin & shari

For the April meeting at the Arboretum we will have Marcus Juniel as our demonstrator.
Marcus has been involved in bonsai since the 1990’s and has studied with many well known masters of bonsai.
He will share his talents on sculpting and carving jin and shari (deadwood) on our trees to add to the appearance of age.
You will learn the value of this added element in bonsai development.
We will be looking forward to an enjoyable evening learning from Marcus.

Your donations to the raffle at the meetings are
a BIG help to support the club

The SABS Annual Members Memorial Day Weekend Show will be May 24-26.
We encourage all our members to support the club and show a tree.
There will also be an area dedicated for our Members Sale Tables as well was many vendors, demos & activities each day

Entry forms will be distributed at the April and May meetings.

March 2025 Meeting Highlights

We had a good turnout for the March meeting.
Many members took advantage of the opportunity and got valuable feedback from our guest, Mel Ikeda.
Mel spent time with each member, giving his thoughts to help advance tree styling.
Members were able to see each tree and hear the reasoning behind the advice given.
Thank you to Mel for sharing his expertise with us.
