This October meeting will have Ken Bross showing us everything you want to know about bonsai stands.
Ken is a woodworker and very knowlege in how to design and construct a stand and match it to a tree.
Ken will bring 15-20 stands that he has made and as a group we will be helping to select the right stand for your tree.
We are asking everyone attending to please bring any size tree (or 2) and be a part of this demo.
We are looking forward to a group discussion, with Ken as our expert guide, as we choose stands to match each tree.
Ken’s stands will not be available for sale at this SABS meeting but future orders are possible. He will be displaying as a vendor later this month at the Pacific Expo.

Sept Meeting Highlights
The September SABS meeting was held at Eastern Leaf where we were hosted by owners Jason & Renee Chan.
Jason styled a prostrata juniper for us, and everyone participated with suggestions, leading to a beautiful informal upright tree.
We had a full raffle table, including many items donated by Jason & Renee.
Mike Kelly was the lucky raffle winner of the demo tree. He was so excited to win his 3rd tree from a Jason Chan demonstration.
Thanks again to Jason & Renee for another pleasant evening of bonsai. — Dave
