Aug Meeting & Demo

The August 9 meeting will be held at 6:00pm for more daylight when we meet at David and June Nguy’s Shisei-En Garden in Chino.

This meeting is always very popular because we have a great demonstration and learning experience by David and an opportunity to view David and June’s beautiful bonsai collection and Teahouse.
If you need any bonsai supplies, they will be available for sale, and we will also have our usual full raffle table.
Please consider bringing a bonsai item for the raffle table and a snack item to supplement our refreshments.
David will be working on a very nice Itoigawa juniper that will be in the raffle.
You are welcome to arrive as early as 5:00pm so you have time to walk through the amazing bonsai garden.

July Meeting Highlights

Our July meeting at the home of Peter and Marissa Macasieb was a fun experience for all.
Peter’s expertise was on display as he styled an Itoigawa juniper for us.
When finished with the juniper, Peter also styled a small pine tree that also went in the raffle.

Adding even more enthusiasm to our raffle, Ray Blasingame brought a beautiful show-ready juniper bonsai that was part of his mom, Marge Blasingame’s collection.
We appreciate Ray’s generosity in donating this tree to the club.
As a result, we had a special ticket drawing for Marge’s tree to go along with the drawing for both of Peter’s trees.

Gabriel Sepulveda won Marge’s amazing juniper tree.

Jerry Banuelos was the happy winner of Peter’s Itoigawa juniper, and Mariana Leheurte won Peter’s pine demo tree.

Again, we thank Peter and Ray for the raffle enthusiasm at this meeting.

A special “Thanks” to all who have supported our club with raffle donations, ticket purchases and delightful treats for our refreshment table.

The tables at Peter’s were incredible because of all of you!!
