March Meeting Highlights
The March meeting featured Debra Mauzy-Melitz and Ken Bross.
Debra focused on picking accent plants and suitable pots and stands to go with our show trees.
Ken Bross brought a collection of stands, so members could match stands to trees along with the accents.
Members had a great chance to see how bonsai trees, stands and accent plants work together for a show display.
The presentation by Debra and Ken fit perfectly with our club efforts to prepare for our annual show happening May 23-25.

Frank Alvarez donated two very nice juniper bonsai to the raffle, and we had a special drawing for them.
The lucky winners were Peter Macasieb and David Melitz.
The Raffle table was filled with a wide variety of interesting items.
“Thank you” to all of our members who donated so generously.
Ray Blasingame loaned the club a beautiful shohin display stand that we plan to use as a group effort at a full shohin display for the show.
Stay tuned for details.
