May Meeting Highlights

We had a good turnout for the May 2025 meeting with Mel Ikeda
He demonstrated the development of a raft style bonsai using procumbens nana juniper material
Mel created a beautiful rock planting with juniper branches brought thru holes drilled in the rock
The branches became individual trees “growing from the rock” creating a pleasing mountain scene.

Mike Kelly was the lucky winner of Mel’s creation.

2025 Annual Memorial Weekend Show Re-cap

Our Annual how was very successful with a good variety of amazing trees
Arboretum attendees and “bonsai people” complimented SABS on our presentations.
“Thank you” to everyone who entered your wonderful tree displays.
Thanks also to those who helped with set-up, take-down, acting as docents, and all other tasks related to this show.
